Polish mobile operator Plus has partnered with Ericsson and GlobalLogic to deploy an independent private 5G campus network at GlobalLogic’s facilities in Kraków. The implementation represents a significant milestone in Poland’s industrial digitization efforts and marks the realization of commitments made by Plus and Ericsson earlier in the year regarding private 5G infrastructure development across the country.

The network installation provides GlobalLogic with a secure foundation for developing and testing Industry 4.0 applications. The company already maintains several innovative telecommunications solutions, including artificial intelligence systems for network traffic analysis and anomaly detection, real-time telemetry capabilities, and video image analysis technology deployed in automotive and industrial drone operations.

The Ericsson Private 5G solution operates on a single dual-core server architecture, delivering secure connectivity with minimal latency and high reliability. This configuration enables rapid deployment of local data protection systems while supporting demanding industrial applications that require advanced data control capabilities.

Michał Sobolewski, Vice President of Plus, stated that “The first deployment of an independent private 5G campus network, in cooperation with GlobalLogic and Ericsson, is an important step in the development of our offer for business clients.”

Yuliia Shtukaturova, Vice President of GlobalLogic responsible for the European Region, described the collaboration as “a breakthrough moment for GlobalLogic” and noted that “The successful deployment at our Kraków facility and the development of advanced solutions confirm the great transformational potential this technology brings to our clients from various industries.”

Martin Mellor, Head of Ericsson in Poland, emphasized that the deployment “shows how a private 5G network provides secure and reliable connectivity, creating a solid foundation for the development of Industry 4.0.”

GlobalLogic’s experience with Ericsson Private 5G infrastructure includes existing integrations at Hitachi Rail facilities in the United States. The company plans to expand its research and development activities to include additional applications such as remotely controlled demonstration vehicles and intelligent asset management systems for predictive network maintenance with real-time data collection capabilities.
